LUMBERJACK STORY

There's a lumberyard, and there were these lumberjacks deep in the forests of Arizona chopping down trees.

And every year the lumberyard needs new workers for the season.

The workers come from all over for the summer.

And they are all college athletes.

Most were football players, some are wrestlers, and they are huge.

Not only are they getting paid, but they could also get in shape by swinging an ax all day.

This was the perfect job.

So, after a few weeks, the boss calls everybody over, and he says ...

“We’re going to give a bonus of $250 to whoever chops down the most trees today.

So, we’re going to start at eight o’clock.

Then, everybody is going to take an hour break for lunch.

And then you’re going to hear the bell ring at five o’clock.

Then, we’ll tell you tomorrow who won the prize.

So everybody’s geared up because these are all competitive guys.

And there are about twenty of them who were all college athletes.

And then there was Bernie, the old guy who was in his sixties.

Bernie’s been working for the lumberyard for years.

Everybody discounted him.

Well, everybody starts swinging their ax, and the energy level is high.

You could smell the testosterone in the air.

And so, the old guy on the tip of the hour would mosey on up to the shed and come back fifteen minutes later and start chopping again.

So, the guys were laughing, and they said, “What a loser this guy is.”

They’re all chopping and chopping and then another hour later, they see the old guy go up to the shed again.

It's five o’clock, and everybody ends with a big spurt, and everybody thinks they won.

The next morning at eight o’clock, the boss calls everybody around, and he said...

“Bernie, come over here.

Here’s your $250.

You won!"

Everybody says, “Are you kidding me?"

Bernie was the old guy.

How could he win?

He was taking breaks every hour while everyone else was chopping their ass off.

How could he chop down more trees with less work?”

And one of the kids hollered to Bernie . . " Bernie boy, what were you doing when you’re going up to that shed?”

And Bernie said, “I might be old, but I’m smart.

I was doing something that not one of you college educated boys were doing.

Every hour, I would was sharpening my ax.

Learn the business

When it comes to AIM Global network marketing business, you can work harder or you can work smarter.

The choice is yours.

Abraham Lincoln said it best, “Give me six hours chopping down a tree and I will spend the first four hours sharpening the axe.”

This means, if you were given a business opportunity to become financially free and make you earn the money you would make for 30 years as an employee for only 3 years, you better make sure you invest more than half the time in learning the business.

You have to be wise enough to take time and study what you’re doing. Because most people after hearing so many success stories and investing with our Global packages, they go out immediately and talk about our business to everybody they know, without the proper training and guidance from their uplines or mentors.

They did not get any techniques or tips on what to say, so they simply talk to the first person they meet, who might probably be very close to them and say, “hey would you buy a new car and big house and lot, come join me in AIM Global” or “do you want to become a millionaire, come with me to our office and attend our seminar”. But for the experienced, we all know what the typical answer to this type of invitations. Almost 90% of the time, people would say NO and what’s worse is they discourage those people who invited them saying that it’s a scam or they can’t do it because it’s hard.

Let’s take for example a new distributor named Paul.

Paul is a salesman and one of the top guys in his company. He was invited to attend our business orientation by his best friend. He saw the marketing plan and he was very impressed, his level of excitement was up to 100%. He then quickly bought his Global package, and immediately started contacting his friends. He said, “This is easy!” He did not bother listening to our seminars and to the advice from his uplines. He said, “I already know this, I’ve been in sales for more than a decade. But after a month his results is still zero, and his excitement went from 100 to 50%.

He was told by his sponsor to come and attend our trainings but he said he was busy. He felt that it would be a waste of time; he thought to himself that the bottom line is just to recruit people, so that is what he did. However after another month, he still has very minimal results and by this time his energy is down to ZERO. And later on, he quit doing the business and blamed the company for his failure, stating that it isn’t true and it is a scam.

What happened to Paul?

Well, plain and simple, he did not learn the business.

You see, every business ventures takes a certain kind of discipline and technique that is unique for that certain kind of field in order to become successful. One kind of technique maybe proper and effective to one, but could be a disaster if you apply it to another.

It’s just like martial arts, the idea is to subdue your opponent, but if all you know is kickboxing and you fight in the UFC where they employ mixed martial arts, you’re going to be hammered.
Same thing goes with AIM Global, the idea of creating a sale or closing a client maybe the same objective, but if you apply the same approach (ex. Hard sell, corporate talk etc) to every prospect, do not be surprise at the end of the day, you get little to no results.

So the idea here is to take time to gain knowledge, jot down notes, or record it. Then start to apply. The exciting part is the longer you do this, you will find out that the idea of how to recruit people, or how to sell our products are just kindergarten courses. Our business is not a dead end job, it’s so dynamic that new technology and new kind of teaching pops up every now and then so you will never get bored and never ran out of new things to learn.
